| Tuesday 23 March - Year 12 Higher Education Information Evening |
| 7pm in the School Hall. This evening is designed to give students and their parents and carers the information that they will need when applying to university or college through UCAS (university and college admissions service). We have invited colleagues from Southampton University to come in and speak about the application process and aspects of university life. This has proved to be a very popular and informative evening and we look forward to seeing you there. Letters have been sent home. Please park in the school grounds. Thank you. Mrs Pearson

| It has been brought to our attention that some Blackberry mobile phones might be set up to discard all text messages or text messages from unknown senders. This would result in those parents not receiving messages sent via Schoolcomms. Unfortunately, when the Blackberry device blocks a text message, it mistakenly reports that the message has been delivered, so we would be unaware that parents had not received the message. Please check Blackberry firewall settings by navigating to 'Settings' -> 'Options' -> 'Security Options' -> 'Firewall'. Thank you. |

| For Abbey, Bourne, Carew & Derby Houses. Students will be making appointments with subject teachers and recording them in their planners. It is therefore important that students bring their planners with them on the evening. Please park in the school grounds and sign in at reception. Thank you. |
